The Yellowstone Conservation District is celebrating Arbor Day by giving trees to Yellowstone County residents.

The Yellowstone Conservation District is providing free trees to Yellowstone County residents to plant.
When: Friday, April 26, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Trees will not be given out before 10:00 a.m. the day of the event.
Where: Pick up trees at the Yellowstone Conservation District office on the ground floor of the Land Design building located within the Canyon Creek Nursery grounds at 1670 S. 48th St. West. Please use the north entrance, on the pond side. Look for signs on Hesper Road and 48th St. West for directions.
Trees: Tree quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Over 300 individually bagged trees will be given away, with a limit of one per person.
- Ash, Green – 2-3’ bareroot
- American Plum – 3’+/- bareroot
- Amur Maple – 3’+ bareroot
- Cottonwood Siouxland – 3'-5’ bareroot
- Lilac, Villosa – 3’ bareroot
- Linden, American – 3'-5’ bareroot
- Ponderosa pine – 10 cubic inch containers
- Red Osier Dogwood – 2'-3’ bareroot
- Quaking Aspen – 10 & 27 cubic inch containers
Planting guidelines and informational handouts will be provided for free.
