Announcing a Notice of Funding Opportunity for FY24 Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) in New York

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) announces the availability of up to $500,000 for Conservation Innovation Grants in New York. 

The funding opportunity number is USDA-NRCS-NY-CIG-24-NOFO0001390. Funding will be awarded to applications that support the development of new tools, approaches, practices, and technologies that further natural resource conservation on private lands.

All non-federal entities (NFE) and individuals are invited to apply. All producers involved in the proposals must be Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP) eligible. Projects may be between one and three years in duration with an estimated project start date of September 30th 2024.

This funding opportunity is a part of the State-level competition for CIG Classic. CIG state competitions fund projects that target state-identified conservation priorities. NY’s FY24 state identified conservation priorities are climate resilience, urban agriculture, and organic agriculture.
